Antigua is the island of 365 beaches – a beach for every day of the year. The secluded white beaches beckon you, whether you’re snorkeling, waterskiing, sailing or just soaking up the sun.

Antigua was one of the most important British colonies in the Caribbean. This magnificent coral-ringed island has since become a much-loved destination where travelers often return for its natural beauty.

Beautiful powdery soft beaches make up the winding coastline of Antigua. The coral reefs attract snorkelers and scuba divers from around the world. And separated by only a few nautical miles off the coast, the fascinating little island of Barbuda is home to one of the region’s most significant bird sanctuaries.
Fun Fact: Despite having a small population, Antigua has produced some of the world’s best cricketers, and many still live there. For those who prefer their sports to be less strenuous and serious, however, Antigua also hosts crab-racing contests once a week.
Weather: Temperatures generally range from the mid-seventies in the winter to the mid-eighties in the summer. Annual rainfall averages only 45 inches, making it the sunniest of the eastern Caribbean Islands, and the northeast trade winds are nearly constant, flagging only in September. Visitors can expect low humidity year-round.
Getting there: Major airlines such as American, US Airways, Virgin-Atlantic, Delta, and British Airways provide service to Antigua’s V.C. Bird International Airport from destinations in North America, Europe, and the Caribbean.
Please Note:
– The wearing of camouflage or military apparel is illegal in Antigua and clothing will be confiscated and persons charged accordingly.
– The departure tax payable by tourists when leaving Antigua is US$ 28.00.
